It began in the hothouse intensive environment of the PUSH Lab in Edinburgh in the company of artists from 5 different European countries, exploring gender and sexual identity in theatre for younger audiences.
Then came the news that I’d been awarded funding from the Pavilion Patrons’ Donation Bursary and additional funding from the Mermaid Arts Centre Bray to make possible a development week later this year for BigKidLittleKid, a brand new show for audiences aged 2-5 about how size really matters!
This was followed by an unexpected invitation from the amazing Curious Seed in Edinburgh to be a Guest Artist on an R&D week in early March. Finally, the first development days on Twinkle Twinkle with Brighton-based Touched Theatre promise the makings of a really special new show for 18 months to 3 years – love, loss, a star and a big floppy puppy – what’s not to like?
Looking forward to March.
