Blue! is a short piece (10-15 minutes) featuring 2 performers utilising the Imagination Playground that, after the initial 10-15 minutes, organically develops into an interactive adventure that the watching children and their adults (parents/caregivers/early years staff) increasingly participate in and eventually lead.
Some children engage in a noisy robust way, others most gradually, others by intense and quiet watching from a distance. Blue’s methodology validates all of these individual responses which in turn indicates a situation where we recognise and respect the individuality of children from a very early age.
This adventure is a warm, curious, playful environment where the journey from spectator to participant happens almost without them noticing it.
