Performed inside a dreamy white tent to just 3 audience members at a time, Up In The Clouds drifts its audience off to a gentle magical place of exquisite live harmony singing, full of air and space and gentle object play, with the shows designed so that the performers can respond to each individual child/young person.

A spa for the soul….

Touring via The Network For Extraordinary Audiences in 2025 funded by Arts Council Ireland, Up In The Clouds will play special schools and early years settings for children with complex/profound needs across Ireland as well as publicly bookable shows at North Clondalkin Library in partnership with The Civic, Tallaght.

Bringing together an experienced team of long-term collaborators drawn from projects including Sing Me To The Sea, Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This and Little Tiny Xmas, the initial week of Research & Development was funded by Wicklow Arts Office / Creative Ireland and took place in residency at St Catherine’s Special School, Co Wicklow in May 2023.

The final 2025 production has been developed in creative consultation with the pupils and staff of St Catherine’s and Enable Sandymount.

Many thanks to Window Fashions in Dublin for their generous donation of fabric to create the portable performance space for our 2023 R&D week and onwards.

And here‘s where you can get one of the unique ‘floof’ seating options that we use for the show!

Up In The Clouds is dedicated to Anna’s long-time friend and collaborator of over 30 years, David Goodall, who was with us for the 2023 initial R&D week but who died unexpectedly in September 2023.

The experience of the show was so amazing. The student I attended the show with really enjoyed it. He was full of smiles and engaging with the performers. Thank you for such a magical experience. teaching staff

The beautiful calming singing and the response to all the different sensory objects and sounds. It really grabbed the attention of all the children . To see their faces light up and eyes following every move or sound was wonderful to watch. teaching staff

the most magical experience for our pupils. Truly inclusive experience. Completely child led and so so gentle teaching staff

Incredible, emotional, moving. This was like nothing I've ever experienced. It was so lovely to see children who don't tend to enjoy shows enjoying this experience so much. teaching staff
